Joyce Storm is the president of Storm Partners, LLC, in New York, a real estate development and consulting company that provides guidance to private equity firms, hedge funds, financial institutions, retailers, and developers. Due to her accomplishments, Joyce Storm was recently asked to be a juror for the International Council of Shopping Centers’ (ICSC) 2019 North American Design and Development Awards. The program honors retail real estate professionals operating in both Canada and the United States, and it recognizes outstanding achievement in retail store design and the development of retail properties.

Established in 1957, the ICSC’s goals include recognizing and promoting best practices for the industry’s malls, strip centers, power centers and their stores in communities worldwide. Supports its 70,000 members, through annual events, educational programs, professional networking opportunities, and awards programs. These awards highlight companies and individual designers who have achieved design excellence within the retail real estate industry. Jurors are selected for outstanding leadership and considered opinions regarding retail design excellence. They come from all aspects of ICSC’s membership: Developers, lenders, architects and urban planners.

The bulk of the ICSC’s awards are contained within the organization’s Global Awards section. There are nine awards contained in this category, and they celebrate accomplishments in areas such as retail store design, marketing, and development within each winner’s region. Companies and individuals who win the ICSC Global Awards are eligible for the organization’s Vision, Innovation, Value, and Achievement (VIVA) Best-of-the-Best Award.
One of the ICSC’s Global Awards programs is the North America Design and Development Awards Program.
